Graduate Record Examination is an important exam that should be taken by students applying for business-related graduate programs. It is conducted by Education Testing System in more than 160 countries around 1,000 plus centers. The test evaluates the arithmetical, algebra, geometry, vocabulary, and data analysis of the student. The test is taken in the form of multiple-choice questions and the test is available in paper-pen format test can be taken 3 times in October, November, and February months of a year, and computer-based tests can be taken multiple times in a year. The test has two parts GRE general test and GRE subjective test, the application fee for the general test is INR 15,857 and for the subject, the test is around INR 11,165 The test consists of three parts Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning, the score is given on a scale and points for quantity and a verbal score is given between a scale of 130 to 170 whereas analytical writing is evaluated based on 0 to 6 points. The test is conducted for 3 hours and 45 minutes with a 1-minute break after each section. The test results mainly help the students increase their GPA as the test results will be sent to the applied universities with transcripts and all other documents. The test is mainly written by students applying to master’s and Ph. D programs and is valid for 5 years. The results of this test will be declared after 10 to 15 days of the exam.
