How to Apply for an Australian Scholarship

Australia is famous for its research-oriented education, and for welcoming thousands of international students to pursue their dream it also offers scholarships for students. Based on the grades and financial requirements of students there are different scholarships that a student can opt for based on their eligibility. Some of the Australian government scholarships are as mentioned below

1. Australia Awards Scholarships -
- It is offered for graduates with good academic grades and enrolling in programs such as engineering, construction, energy and resources, security, and strategic studies.
- The application will be opened from February to April every year, and it covers the complete tuition fee and part of the living cost.
- The major drawback in getting this scholarship is students must return to India once the course is completed.
2. Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship -
- It is offered by the universities on behalf of the Australian education department. Hence selection processes vary from university to university.
- It is mostly offered for research master’s and research doctorate programs and it covers either one or two benefits such as tuition fees, living costs, and other educational-related expenses.
- Scholarship for master’s research is valid for 2 years and research doctorate scholarship is valid for 3 to 4 years.
3. Gyan Dhan Scholarship -
- It is offered to one bright student and selected based on merit, academic performance, and ability of the student, and the decision is taken by the Gyan Dhan official committee.
- The scholarship offers around INR 1lakh to 1 student. It is provided to the student at the start of the academic year of the postgraduate program regardless, of course, city and university.
4. CSIRO Scholarship Program -
- It is given to outstanding graduates who enroll each year at Australian tertiary institutions. There are only 50 scholarships available which would be selected based on the grades of all the applicants.
- This scholarship would be provided for 3 years or it can be extended even for 4 years.
5. Destination Australia Scholarship -
- The scholarship is provided for both domestic and international students.
- It is given to students applying for graduate, master’s, or research programs in regional universities.
6. CSIRO Data61 Scholarship Program -
- It is basically for Ph. D applicants and is of two types Data61provides a complete stipend for selected students and Data61 top-up will provide extra support even after receiving a stipend from the university or government.
- The benefits and approval of the scholarship will be mentioned in the acceptance letter of the student and its strict eligibility criteria. This scholarship has 2 to 4 rounds of application chances in a year

4	Monash International Leadership Scholarship	Offered to international students applying for graduate and post-graduate programs	100% tuition fee
5	The University of Sydney Dr . Abdul Kalam International Postgraduate Scholarship	Offered to international students studying in faculty of engineering and information technology programs. Applicant cannot get any other scholarship	50% tuition for one year
6	The University of Queensland- School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences Indian Scholarship	Offered to Indian students doing their masters in the school of chemistry & molecular biosciences.	50% of the tuition fee
